    A majority of the birds can be observed all year round. However during the summer months (April to end October) most of the migrant birds return to their home territories and sightings of those birds are unlikely. This period is ideal for spotting the endemic birds of Sri Lanka.

Day - 1
To be met and assisted at the airport by our specialized birding guide. Transfer 45 min to the Notary’s House. The hotel overlooks a scenic lake and is bordering a forest reserve.

The evening is free for you to stroll along the lake with a good chance to spot some birds.
Day - 2
Setoff early morning to explore the Dik kale forest reserve which is a protected area and home to a few species of birds. Transfer to Kalpitiya, a coastal town located in the north western part of the island. You will have the opportunity to spot some waders in the coastal lagoons.
Day - 3
Explore the surroundings of Kalpitiya and later transfer to the Wilpattu national park.
Day - 4
Spend a full day exploring Wilpattu National park.
Day - 5
Transfer to the sacred city of Kandy.
Day - 6
Visit this historic Udawatta Kale Forest Reserve for a chance to spot some of its birdlife and a unique view of the town from a view point.
Day - 7
Transfer to the hill station town of Nuwara Eliya home to many highland birds.
Day - 8
Setoff early morning before the break of dawn to catch some sightings of unique highland birds at the Horton plains national park.
Day - 9
Transfer to the campsite at Kitulgala. Relax and watch the Kelani River flows by.
Day - 10
Explore the Kelani valley forest reserve and an optional whitewater rafting session. Later transfer to the Sinharaja Rainforest.
Day - 11
Spend a full day birding in the Sinharaja rainforest.
Day - 12
Transfer to the airport for departure or beach extensions.
